This blog is presented with the purpose of providing some perspective and useful information about being a close caregiver for a person with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.  This material is presented in good faith; and I believe that the information is true and accurate.  Any suggestions for corrections will be carefully considered and corrected if appropriate.  The blogs posted will emphasize my experience and events that happened and sometimes include my opinion about relevant matters.  

 Individuals vary enormously in who they are before dementia onset and similarly vary in the impact and course of dementia.  My experiences and my opinions are unique to me.  For this and other reasons, I am certainly not providing advice to anyone dealing with dementia caregiving.  And I am not a professional in regard to dementia/Alzheimer’s

 If we provide a hyperlink to another website or blog, I do so based on serious consideration of the quality of information on such a site.  Nonetheless I have no control over information on those sites, which may change in ways unforeseen to me.  I also have no control over privacy policies and terms of other sites.  Let us know if you encounter issues with any such site.  And if I recommend any book or article, that would be a carefully considered recommendation.  Still it would not mean that everything in that source is known to be accurate or is in agreement with my views.
